Helicopter crew and police officers give chase to two suspects after break-in at Charfield village hall

A POLICE helicopter crew and officers gave chase to two men suspected of breaking into Charfield Village Hall this morning.

They were arrested in the early hours of today, Wednesday 13.

Officers were called to the hall at 1.30am after reports of break-in and found a window had been smashed. People were also making noise inside.

Two men fled from the hall and a pair of female officers ran after them.

A man was arrested just before 2am and a second was apprehended in a garden at 3.20am after a search by officers including a dog handler, a helicopter and PCs from Gloucestershire Police.

The men remain in custody.
