Two HMP Leyhill prisoners, Stephen Rees and Liam Ahearne, still on the run after absconding last month

A PAIR of Leyhill open prison inmates are still on the run two weeks after absconding.
Stephen Rees, 31, and Liam Ahearne, 24, absconded from HMP Leyhill at around 9pm on Wednesday, January 30.
Ahearne and Rees were serving indeterminate sentences for aggravated burglary and wounding respectively.
Police are appealing for information to trace the prisoners.
It is believed they have connections with the South West as well as the Merthyr area and Rhymney Valley, in particular Blackwood, Markham and Bargoed.
Officers are warning the public not to approach the men as they may be dangerous.
Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to call police immediately on 999.
