SEVERAL cars have been vandalised by brick-wielding thugs along a single road in Cam.
The vandals used a house brick to drag across multiple vehicles on The Crescent in the Tilsdown area between 8.30pm on Thursday, February 7, and 11.30am the next day.
The cars, which suffered scratched paintwork, include a red Seat Ibiza, a green Ford Galaxy, a silver Ford Mondeo and a black Audi A3.
After only owning the Ford Galaxy for six weeks, Peter Wilkes, 69, has been left frustrated by the "mindless" vandalism.
"I’ve got no time for it," he said.
"I just don’t understand the mentality of people who do this, it is so pointless. There’s a complete lack of respect for people’s property.
"The car is of no value so it is not worth fixing, there’s nothing you can do."
This is not the first time it has happened to the Ford Mondeo owner, Mathew Revell, 33, who has suffered at the hands of vandals three times now.
"It is something you just get used to," he said.
"I have had wing mirrors knocked off in the past so this isn’t too bad.
"They must have come along in the morning as some cars were not hit as they had already left for work."
