Gloucestershire County Council warn bus pass holders about expiry date
9:00am Saturday 23rd February 2013 in News By Daniel Chipperfield
A REMINDER is going out to all concessionary bus pass holders that their passes are due to expire soon.
Gloucestershire County Council is urging people to renew their membership as soon as possible, as more than 90,000 concessionary passes for elderly and disabled users are set to expire on March 31.
The council has already begun its renewal process to give residents the opportunity to renew in good time, with letters being sent to all pass holders at the end of 2012.
While the majority have renewed their passes, there are still some that may face a delay in receiving a new pass if they leave it to the last minute, potentially having to pay the full fare until it arrives.
Cllr Chas Fellows, cabinet member for economy and environment, said: "We are incredibly grateful for all those concessionary pass holders who have renewed in good time and made this important task so much easier.
"But there are still people who need to respond or get in touch to ensure they get the benefits they deserve."
Anyone who is currently a pass holder but has not received a renewal letter should call the Concessionary Fares Enquiry Line on 01452 426265 or email customerservices@gloucestershire.gov.uk
Alternatively, you can visit your local library with your current pass.
