Planning inspector to decide on plans for 210 homes and new clubhouse for Yate Town FC
10:37am Wednesday 27th February 2013 in News By Alexandra Womack
PLANS to build 210 homes next to Yate Town Football Club’s ground are due before an appeal inspector next week.
The proposal, which include plans to redevelop the Lodge Road clubhouse and car park, will be heard by an independent planning inspector on Tuesday, March 5 (10am).
Developers Bloor Homes and Sydney Freed Holdings, which are working with the football club, had appealed after South Gloucestershire Council failed to decide on the application it submitted last spring.
Fans of the club are in support of the development but there have been objections from people living nearby in North Road.
The appeal takes place at the Ship Inn, Thornbury Road, Alveston. Members of the public are welcome and may speak at the inspector’s discretion.
