Filton and Bradley Stoke MP Jack Lopresti recovering at home after being admitted to hospital

FILTON and Bradley Stoke MP Jack Lopresti was admitted to hospital last week for appendicitis.

The politician, who had been feeling unwell since January, was referred to Frenchay Hospital by his GP on Wednesday, February 20 to undergo tests.

He was diagnosed with appendicitis and immediately hospitalised.

He was released on Monday, February 25 and is now resting at his Filton home.

The Conservative MP said he expected be back in top shape very soon.

"I've been feeling poorly since January but thought it was just a virus that I was finding hard to shake off," Mr Lopresti said.

"The good news is that I'm now back at home and expect to be fighting fit within a week or two."

He added: "I'd like to take the opportunity to give my huge thanks and pay tribute to the nurses, doctors and all the staff at Frenchay for the excellent care I received."
