Billy Smart's Circus will set up its Big Top on Yate Common this Easter

ONE of the biggest travelling circuses in the country is coming to Yate this Easter.

Billy Smarts Circus will set up its Big Top on Yate Common on Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26.

Performances will include an Australian flying trapeze act, Desiree's handbalancing act in which she fires a bow and arrow with her feet, acrobats, jugglers, breath-taking aerialists and even a fireman who works his routine on a flaming ladder.

Spokeswoman Angie Hook said: “Billy Smart's Circus has always been ahead of its time.

“Billy Smart was probably the most famous name under the British Big Top and now it has been making its first full tour of Great Britain for over 30 years.

“With comedy and spectacle this is Billy Smarts Circus at its amazing best, the cream of circus.”

The circus will see three performances, at 7pm on Monday and 3pm and 7pm on Tuesday. Call 0844 415 5228 or visit www.billy-smarts-circus.co.uk for more details.
