Avon Fire and Rescue Service attend kitchen blaze at Ashwicke, near Marshfield

THREE fire crews were called to a blaze in the kitchen of a house near Marshfield.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service attended the fire, in a house in the hamlet of Ashwicke, at 6.16pm on Tuesday.

Two fire crews from Bath and one from Speedwell were on the scene and use a CO2 extinguisher to dampen the flames.

Fire service spokesman James Bladon said it was believed the fire was started accidentally.
