WANNABE masterchefs battled it out in a sizzling cook-off in Severn Beach.
Around 120 pupils at Severn Beach Primary School took part in the Let's Get Cooking Big Cookathon last week, a nationwide culinary challenge.
On the menu for their teachers and parents cum food tasters was an Italian classic - spaghetti bolognese.
For dessert, the children tackled a slightly less technical task as they were asked to prepare a fruit salad.
Severn Beach Primary School secretary Margaret Clark said: "Our school took part in the Let's Get Cooking Big Cookathon again this year. This is where lots of schools in England cook the same recipe on the same day.
"We invited parents, governors and the local community in to help our pupils make spaghetti Bolognese and fresh fruit salad. Some of the staff and pupils then ate the fruits of their labour for lunch."
