Pupils from five schools across Yate and Chipping Sodbury came together for a space themed concert at the Ridge Junior School
ALIENS, space invaders and rocket men blasted off to the Ridge Junior School in Yate for an out of this world combined concert.
A total of 250 pupils from five different schools came together for the space-themed sing-a-thon last Thursday (March 14).
Children from Old Sodbury, St John’s Mead and Raysfield Infants in Chipping Sodbury and Broadway Infants and the Ridge Junior schools enjoyed the planetary concert where they had the chance to sing special space songs to one another.
Ridge head teacher Philip Boult said: "We had lots of aliens and spacemen and some of our teachers even dressed up as well.
"It was a fabulous concert, everyone had a really good time and the singing was marvellous. It was just one of those mornings when you think yes, this is why I am a teacher."
South Gloucestershire Council’s music service organised the specially-themed combined concert, which take place every two years.
