A PRESCHOOL group from Thornbury is set to hold a prominent role in the town’s carnival at the weekend.
Beginning with the parade at 11am, the Rainbow Teddies Preschool will join performers and local organisations in a fun-packed day for all.
The carnival parade, which will be led by the Bristol Pipes and Drums, starts from its usual place in Castle School and will travel along Park Road, Castle Street, Chapel Street and finally St Mary Street.
Following the parade, the Mundy playing fields will turn into a fun fair, where a variety of stalls and attractions will be the main features.
“This will be an occasion to remember,” commented Nanda Lee, manager of Rainbow Teddies.
“We have a lot planned for the parade, with many of our children taking part. This is an opportunity to have some fun whilst bringing the community together in what should be an action packed day. We may even have a ‘Rainbow Teddy’ leading our parade, who will sign autographs if asked!”
