Host a tea party for Cotswold Care Hospice
COTSWOLD Care Hospice is encouraging people to host their own tea parties so the patients and carers it supports can enjoy a well-earned break.
By holding a vintage tea party for friends, family or colleagues, people can raise vital funds for the charity.
Just £25 will help pay for an hour of nursing care in someone’s home by one of the charity’s Hospice at Home nurses.
That support provides crucial respite for carers who are fulfilling a loved one’s last wish to spend their final days at home and not in hospital.
Every year Cotswold Care Hospice supports more than 600 people in Gloucestershire. All of its services are provided free of charge.
Jules Eaton, chief executive of Cotswold Care Hospice, said a tea party could be a wonderful way to unite people and enjoy each other’s company.
"By asking your guests to make a small donation it can add up to make a real difference to the people we support every day," he said.
The charity can send a fundraising pack with recipes, tips, invitations to send to your guests, posters and even bunting.
If you are not interested in organising your own tea party you can come to a vintage tea party at the Cotswold Care Hospice on Burleigh Lane, Minchinhamptonon on Monday, August 19, at 2pm.
Tickets are £5 and must be booked in advance.
