A 21-year-old man died and a cyclist was seriously injured in crash in Bristol yesterday evening.
A motorcyclist was travelling towards the city centre on the A4 Portway at around 6.55pm last night when the crash occurred.
As he negotiated a left-hand bend he approached a bus driving in the same direction, which was in the process of overtaking two cyclists.
He lost control and collided with the two cyclists before hitting two vehicles travelling in the opposite direction.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.
One of the cyclists was taken to hospital with serious multiple injuries.
Collision investigators closed the road to allow a detailed examination of the scene.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident.
