South Gloucestershire and Stroud College celebrates A-level exam results

RESULTS' day was a time to rejoice for A-level students at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.
The college was packed to the rafters with anxious and excited teenagers and staff eager to discover the outcome of two gruelling years.
Sixth formers had nothing to be concerned about, with 74 per cent achieving A* to C grades.
The overall pass rate was a commendable 98 per cent.
Pupils performed significantly better than predicted in English language, law, mathematics, physics and psychology. The average UCAS points achieved was 88.5 compared to 76.2 last year.
Amanda Chinn, head of sixth form, said: "I’m so happy for the students. They are all great people and have done very well.
"Students here speak very positively about their experience and the beneficial impact the College has had on their lives, and that it has provided them with the perfect transition from school to university or employment."
