Husky rescued from burning house by firefighters in Bradley Stoke
A HUSKY was rescued from a burning house and revived in Bradley Stoke this morning.
Firefighters were called to a blaze on Winsbury Way at 11.56am. When crews arrived, the property was engulfed in flames and the fire was starting to spread to the roof.
They had to force entry as the occupants were not home.
Inside, they discovered a three year-old dog unconscious on the floor, which had become trapped in the house.
Crews carried him outside where he was given oxygen and came around.
He had suffered burns and was taken to the local vet.
Firefighters tackled the fire using two high-pressure hose reels. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.
They also forced entry to a neighbouring property to check it was not affected by the fire. Fortunately, the blaze had not spread.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
