The Voice contestants Smith and Jones sing at the Hollies in Dursley
STARS from hit programme The Voice have delighted residents at a Dursley nursing home after popping in to sing them the songs that got them on national TV.
Katie Smith, 19, from King’s Stanley, and Harry Jones, 20, from Tetbury, visited The Hollies at Littlecombe Park.
The couple, known as Smith and Jones, visited the home as Katie’s grandmother, Vera Spragg, is a resident.
Residents and carers were treated to a performance from the pair, who not only sang their own song written for the TV show but also modern pop songs including Michael Jackson and old favourites like Daisy Daisy.
Manager Valerie Watson said Smith and Jones were very good.
"It is always nice to get young people to come into the Hollies to talk to the residents and to entertain them," she said.
"The event was enjoyed by everyone and the couple have promised to visit again."
