CHIPPING Sodbury School students celebrated record-breaking GCSE scores just days after their elders picked up the best ever A-level results in the school's history.
An impressive 56 cent of pupils achieved the government’s benchmark of five or more A* to C grades, including in English and maths.
This represents a ten per cent increase on last year and a 21 per cent rise since 2009.
Head teacher Gareth Millington said: "We are so pleased for our students who have worked incredibly hard and for staff who have persevered across the year once again.
"We want to make Chipping Sodbury proud that their school is one where local young people can achieve superb results and this is another step in that direction."
Among the highest achieving students were Dawn Barnaby, who received six A* and five As, Brooke Hillier who scored six A* and five As and Claire Tooth, with four A* and five As.
