Strictly dance competition to take over Thornbury's Armstrong Hall
FANS of BBC's hit show Strictly Come Dancing will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of the programme's demanding judging panel for one night only in Thornbury.
Five of the South West's top dance couples will go head-to-head in a mini Strictly style competition judged by the audience at the Armstrong Hall on Saturday, September 28 in aid of Nepalese lepers.
The fundraiser organised by Pilning Surgery's Dr Fiona Ormerod will include a three-course meal, and a ball after the contest. Guest will also have the chance to learn new steps from the performers themselves.
All proceeds will go to the Working Hands charity supporting people with leprosy in Nepal where Dr Ormerod will be volunteering later this year.
The event will start at 7.30pm and end at midnight.
