Firefighters rescue three people after two-car crash on Rodford Way, Yate
TWO women and a child were rescued after an accident on Rodford Way in Yate.
A 68-year-old woman had to be cut from her Peugeot 306 after the collision with a Daewoo. It happened at 8.35am on Thursday, September 5.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman Stephanie Mounsey said the woman was suffering from back injuries.
“Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the door and roof of the car.
“The woman was then assessed by a doctor who had arrived by air ambulance and was then assisted to walk from the car.”
One woman in her forties and a 11-year-old girl were helped from the Daewoo car.
The girl was unharmed, the woman was suffering from chest pain.
