Businesses sought to help build Dursley Youth Centre
BUSINESSES are being asked if they would like to play a part in the construction of the new Dursley Youth Centre.
Dursley Town Council (DTC) has recently adopted a new procurement policy to guide staff and councillors when making purchasing decisions.
The local authority purchases a wide range of products and services, worth at least £150,000 a year, relating to the running of the council’s office, grounds maintenance and equipment as well as street furniture.
Having recently obtained planning permission for the development of a new youth centre, DTC is keen to promote opportunities for local businesses to benefit from this project, which will cost in excess of £200,000.
Businesses who are interested in providing goods or services to DTC are invited to complete a short application form with a view to being included on the council’s list of approved suppliers.
The form is available at www.dursleytowncouncil.gov.uk along with a copy of the procurement policy.
The new policy provides guidance on the factors that will be taken into account when purchasing goods and services.
