BOOKWORMS are in for a treat this Christmas with a programme of free festive fun in South Gloucestershire’s libraries.
Activities over the Christmas period range from crafts and card making to handbell ringing and stories around the Christmas tree in a line-up of events being staged by South Gloucestershire Library Service.
On Monday, December 16 (2.15-2.45pm) and Friday, December 20 (11-11.30am) there will be pre-school festive storytime at Thornbury Library and on Tuesday, December 17 (10am-12noon) the library will host a festive coffee and carol morning featuring a performance by Gillingstool Primary School choir. A card-making craft sessions, suitable for five to 11-year-olds, will take place on Monday, December 23 (11am-12noon).
Winterbourne Library will hold a family friends story and craft session including stories around the tree on Saturday, December 21 (10.30-11.30am) where refreshments will also be served.
Yate Library will hold a special stories around the tree session for children on Monday, December 23 (2-3pm) and on Thursday, January 2 (10.30am-12noon) there will be a winter crafts session.
