A RAFFLE to raise money for a children’s play area in Acton Turville is taking place in the village on Friday (December 13).
The Acton Turville at Play committee is holding the event at the Fox and Hounds pub at 1.30pm and all the village is invited.
Top prizes include a spa evening at Whatley Manor Evening, Sherston turkey, a night at The Old House at Home, Burton and four tickets to a race meeting at Castle Coombe.
All money raised will go towards regenerating a playing field on Littleton Drew Lane opposite Trinity School.
The project, being steered by a group of residents and stakeholders, is in partnership with the parish council and aims to raise £60,000 through grants, fund raising events and sponsorship.
Tickets for raffle cost £1 and are available from The Acton Turville Stores, The Badminton Stores or from committee treasurer Amanda Wallbridge by calling 07870 102215.
