A HISTORIC Berkeley house was filled with traditional Christmas cheer at the weekend.
Dr Jenner’s House and Garden hosted a Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 7.
Put together by the museum’s staff and volunteer group under the leadership of Gill Evans, the day featured festive food and stalls.
The Old Cyder House was filled with stalls selling a wide variety of crafts.
Visitors were also able to take in some of the historic displays around the museum as the ground floor of the house was open, offering up the Dining Room, Jenner’s former study and the old kitchen which is now the gift shop.
Physician and scientist Edward Jenner pioneered the world’s first vaccine against smallpox in Berkeley.
Ahead of the Carol Service at St Mary’s Church on Sunday, December 22, Dr Jenner’s House will be open for mince pies and drinks from 3pm to 5.45pm. The service starts at 6pm at the neighbouring church.
