PUPILS from a primary school in Alveston have hit the big time after being selected to appear on one of ITV’s most popular TV shows.

Children from St Helen’s School are set to travel to London this Friday (December 20) to appear on This Morning alongside presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Schools have been on the show each morning this week playing a scene from the nativity story and St Helen’s 12 future-stars will perform the final scene to millions of viewers across the country.

The children have been rehearsing their roles and practising the carol they will sing at the end of the show, which is believed to air between 11am and 12pm.

School governor Sarah Brown said: “The children were put forward to appear on the show by a parent and are really looking forward to an exciting day out!”
