A MAN and a woman have died and another woman has been seriously injured in a two-car collision in the Forest of Dean this afternoon.
The incident took place at about 3.40pm today (Friday, December 27) at Lensbrook, near Lydney, and involved a Peugeot and a Mitsubishi.
The two occupants of the Peugeot, a man and a woman, died at the scene.
Police are still trying to identify the two people who died.
A woman in the Mitsubishi was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with life threatening injuries.
Road closures are in place while a full collision investigation is carried out.
Anyone who witnessed the collision but hasn't spoken to police should call 101, quoting incident 347 of December 27.
This incident follows a death near Wotton-under-Edge earlier this afternoon when an 18-year-old man from Wotton died in a collision between a Toyota sports car and a white Nissan van.
