YOUNG siblings from Dursley have won a range of prizes after taking part in a Christmas Trail challenge set by 1st Dursley Scouts.
George Pitts, 3, and his 20-month old sister Maisie were presented with a box of goodies at Sainsbury’s supermarket on Castle Street after earning their place in the prize draw by completing the festive challenge.
The pair from Woodmancote had to follow the Christmas trial organised by 1st Dursley Scouts, using a maps provided at various events held before Christmas.
They had to find the various shops and buildings taking part in the competition, locate the correct photos before marking it on their map and then handing in the completed map at the store.
The prizes were donated by Sainsbury’s, as the scout group is the store’s charity partner for 2014, and consisted of toys, an annual each and some chocolates.
Beaver scout leader, Maggie Sweeting, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to the businesses who displayed the pictures in their windows.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Dursley and area for supporting us in our fundraising efforts.”
The money raised by selling the maps, at £1 each, will go towards funding the scout troop's future activities.
