A MAN from Littleton-on-Severn who denies stalking and sexually assaulting a woman from Berkeley was told that he will be tried by jury in April.

Via video link from Bristol Prison where he is in custody, Timothy Sleath, 53, pleaded not guilty to sexual assault by penetration of the woman on July 21 2013.

He also denied stalking her between July 20 and Nov 26 2013.

The charge alleges he caused the woman alarm and distress and had an adverse effect on her day to day activities by making contact with her and following her on foot and by vehicle at various Gloucestershire locations.

Sleath, of Whale Wharf Lane, Littleton on Severn, Bristol, was remanded in custody to await a three day trial starting on April 14.
