STUDENTS at Brimsham Green School in Yate have put their A-level art work on display at an exhibition in the town's heritage centre.

It is the sixth year running that the centre has offered space to members of the school's sixth form who are studying fine art.

The work that has gone on show reflects the students' individual approaches to various topics, with some of it inspired by visits to central Bristol to study.

Assistant head teacher Rachel Edwards said: "We are proud of our sixth form and the success they have enjoyed, with many of them following on to higher education and a variety of art-related careers.
"This is a great chance to view the work of these young artists."

Yate Heritage Centre, in Church Road, is open each week from Tuesday to Thursday and on Saturday, from 10.30am-4.30pm.

Visitors can see the exhibition until Tuesday, February 24.
