TEACHERS at a Winterbourne school have been making a splash for charity.
Three teachers at Winterbourne International Academy volunteered to take part in a sponsored ‘push the teacher in the pool’ event.
Students had to pay £1 to push their teacher in the academy’s own pool.
It was organised by Year 9 students to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Around 100 students and staff throughout the academy turned up to watch teachers Matthew Nunn, Helen Bennett and Chris Orland being repeatedly pushed into the swimming pool by joyous students.
So far Mr Nunn’s tutor group, which designed and distributed posters of the fundraiser, have raised over £155 with more donations still being counted.
