A DURSLEY pub has closed as the owners search for new tenants to take on the business.

The Kingshill Inn on Kingshill Road has been shut for over a week and neighbouring businesses have been left in the dark as to its fortunes.

The business is one of more than 240 pubs owned by brewing chain Wadworth, who are based in Devizes.

Sales and marketing director Paul Sullivan said the previous tenant had left by mutual consent.

“The pub is closed as the tenant who was running the establishment has relinquished the property by mutual consent,” he explained. “We are looking for new tenants to take the business on and have had interest from a number of parties and hopefully the pub will be reopening soon.”

He said the firm did not yet have an exact time frame on when The Kingshill Inn would be reopening.
