POLICE are appealing for information after a goose was decapitated in the Cotswolds.

The incident happened between 8pm on Wednesday January 22 and 10am on Thursday January 23. The owner discovered the body of the goose on or near the doorstep of her house on Cirencester Road in South Cerney.

The head of the bird was not with the body, however on Tuesday February 11, the victim discovered the head of the goose in a barn that the victim had been working in. She believes that the head was placed in the barn deliberately.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 172 of February 11.
