THREE people were taken to hospital after a crash on the B4509 in Tortworth, South Gloucestershire on Thursday afternoon (February 27).

The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity was alerted to the scene shortly before 3pm following an accident involving a BMW, an Alfa Romeo, a smart car and a Volvo lorry.

Two people were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and one person was taken to Frenchay Hospital.

A spokeswoman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Three people were taken to hospital following a collision between three cars and a goods vehicle yesterday afternoon. The occupants of one of the cars suffered serious injuries but was stable as of yesterday.”
