A NEW appeal about a car detectives investigating the murder of Melanie Hall believe may be important will be launched on television this evening.
Police will be making a new appeal for information on BBC Crimewatch tonight about a car they believe may be important to the inquiry.
In October 2013 Avon and Somerset Constabulary asked for help about a white VW Golf GTi Cabriolet that the murder team had recovered. Tonight’s Crimewatch appeal concerns another car that detectives want to trace.
More details will be given on Crimewatch on BBC1 at 9pm.
Melanie Hall was 25 when she disappeared from Cadillacs nightclub in Bath on June 9, 1996. Her body was found four years ago in undergrowth on the slip road at Junction 14 of the M5 near Falfield in South Gloucestershire.
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 and ask for the Operation Denmark Incident room, or ring the incident room direct on 01179 455 808. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A 44-year-old Bath man has been arrested on suspicion of Melanie’s murder and has been bailed until April pending further inquiries.
