THE driver of a lorry had to be cut from his vehicle by the fire service after a collision with a car at the junction of the A46 and the A4135 Kingscote to Westonbirt road.
The accident happened at 12.45pm on Wednesday, March 26, after which the road was closed for several hours.
The driver of the DAF truck, from Holbeach in Lincolnshire, suffered extensive, but not life-treatening, injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
The 39-year-old male driver of the car, a Vauxhall Insignia, who is from Avening, was taken to Stroud Hospital for a check-up.
The vehicles were removed and the road re-opened around 5.40pm.
