A POP-UP shop has opened in Yate with a free ask the expert day including tips from local MP Steve Webb.

Poppito opened the temporary store on North Walk on Wednesday (April 16) to showcase handmade crafts and help boost its normally online-only business.

Mr Webb cut the ribbon to the new store, where Quest clothing used to be located, and then gave advice on local government issues for small businesses. The ask the expert session also included advice for sellers from marketing guru Polly Dugdale and press expert Marie Parry.

Rebecca Bailey-Price, who runs poppito.com from Frampton Cotterell, said: “It is going well, we’ve had some very positive feedback and lots of sales.

“People are just starting to discover us which is great.”

The shop is also running workshops while it is open in Yate Shopping Centre until May the end of May.
