A DURSLEY cheerleading squad have come in the top ten in the UK British Championships.
On the Easter weekend Dursley Diamonds Cheer Squad headed up to the Telford BCA Nationals for the toughest event of the cheerleading season.
Competing against hundreds of squads and performing in front of thousands of people with world judges, BCA Nationals was a sell out event.
The Diamonds, although a relative newcomer, dazzled the competition, coming in tenth in the country
Coaches Jess Efford and Claire Nadin said they were proud of the girls.
“Diamonds have worked really hard this season with many members new to cheer,” said Jess.
“Team work is so vital and this really showed through with them hitting every single stunt."
The Diamonds train every Monday at the Chantry Centre.
