AN ALVESTON hotel has been commended for its commitment to sustainable tourism.
Alveston House Hotel has been awarded a silver grading from the Green Tourism Business Scheme for their environmentally-friendly credentials.
The scheme recognises sustainability relating to areas like energy and water efficiency and waste management and grades businesses from bronze through to gold.
The hotel on the A38 has been working hard to be an environmentally-friendly place to stay.
Owner and general manager Julie Camm said: “We are extremely proud of our commitment to being a ‘green’ hotel.
“All of the team get involved and continually come forward with ideas of how we can improve on what we already do.
“Hopefully with our continued efforts we may achieve gold status next time.”
