TWO children were seriously injured in a collision in Stroud yesterday.

A grey Nissan Qashqai collided with a white Ford Transit van at the junction of Middle Hill and Burcombe Road in Chalford at 4.55pm.

Two young boys from Stroud, passengers in the Nissan, were taken to Bristol Children's Hospital.

The seven-year-old boy had suffered a serious head injury and the three-year-old boy a serious leg injury.

No one else was seriously injured.

Police are appealing for witnesses who haven't already spoken to them to get in touch.
