A GROUP of travellers have left Stratford Park Leisure Centre car park after moving onto the site late on Saturday night.
Around half a dozen caravans were parked across the bays at the leisure centre in Stratford Road.
Stroud District Council officers worked with the police to resolve the situation.
Yesterday a spokesman for Stroud District Council said: "We’ve had reports of nuisance, threats, criminal damage and aggression towards other park users which we were very concerned about.
"Having visited the site this morning to carry out appropriate checks and investigations, we were joined by the police in the afternoon.
"We have issued a formal notice for the travellers to move on and they are expected to comply by 10am tomorrow morning.
"If they haven’t moved on by then, the police have the power to evict them."
