STROUD Cats’ Protection is appealing for cat lovers to come to the rescue after an influx of felines.
The charity, whose work covers Dursley, Berkeley and Wotton, is full to the brim with 53 residents at the moment and several pregnant cats about to increase numbers even further.
Homing officer Helen Munro said: "We have been suddenly hit with pregnant females and mums with very young litters who can't go anywhere for a while.
“With fosterers' holidays looming, we have a crisis on our hands."
There is a desperate need to find homes for some of the adult cats in the charity’s care. McPhee, Lucciola and Geoffrey are some of the adult cats that have moved in in recent months and are looking for new homes.
They are all vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
