A CHARITY helping people with a range of problems get integrated back into society has launched a regular open event in Dursley which everyone is welcome to.

From helping people handle their benefits to guiding them into more education or training, social inclusion charity P3 has helped many people across the Stroud district but is now looking to address issues Dursley people are facing.

Those making use of the group include the unemployed looking for work to those with bills or tenancy issues but assistant support worker Megan Glynn said they were helping people from all sorts of backgrounds and from all ages.

“It definitely makes a difference, it’s really rewarding, especially when clients start seeing things turning around for them,” she said.

“There are quite a lot of people coming in from around the district.”

The open day, where visitors can talk with support workers and find out a lot more information is run every Tuesday from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

They can also find out about various groups organised to help people become more integrated in society, including coffee mornings, a regular bingo event and a down to earth group, which focuses on working on allotments.

A new open day is also being set up by the charity at the Civic Centre in Wotton-under Edge, which will run from 9.30am to 11am on Thursdays.
