SLIMBRIDGE Youth Football Club is saying goodbye to three of its long term committee members.
With over 30 years of service between the three of them, Terry Wilcox, Paul Greenland and Paul Woodland have retired from the club.
Volunteering from as early as 2001, all three members have managed several of SYFC youth teams and have all held various committee roles including treasurer, volunteer coordinator and chairman.
Paul Woodland who has been the club’s chairman for the last two seasons, said: "This is a very emotional day for all three of us.
“We have loved every moment with the club and the journey has been incredible.
“The club remains strong and the emphasis will remain on continued youth development throughout all the SYFC age groups. We wish the new committee continued success."
Commercial director Steve Watson said: “I know I speak on behalf of everyone at SYFC in sincerely thanking all three of the chaps.
“Their passion and commitment over the years has left the club with a solid foundation and an ideal platform for continued growth and success."
Slimbridge Youth Football Club runs teams from ages seven through to 14.
