A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following two deaths in a crash on the M4 earlier this morning.
The crash occurred shortly after 4.30am this morning between a lorry and a van on the slip road close to junction 17 at Chippenham.
Two men traveling in the van were pronounced dead at the scene and two other men, also traveling in the van, were taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious injuries.
A fifth man travelling in the van was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon with minor injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101.
Lane three of the eastbound carriageway was closed after the accident with queues soon building up on the road.
