CLASSIC cars will be on show in the grounds of Berkeley Castle this Fathers’ Day.

The 17th annual Berkeley Classic Car Show comes to the meadow of the historic castle on Sunday, June 15.

Hundreds of vintage and classic cars will be on show, as well as an auto jumble and collectors fair.

Classic cars will also be on sale.

Retired Gloucester stuntman Dick Sheppard will be at the show with his mobile bookstall and display promoting his books and DVDs telling the tales of his 40-year career.

He wrecked more than 2,000 cars during his driving career and appeared in countless films, including helping Michael Caine make off with the gold bullion in the Italian Job.

Antique expert Phililp Tauberheim of Wotton Auction Rooms will be on site valuing antiques between 12pm and 2pm.

The show opens at 10am, with tickets available on the gate at £6 for adults. Children under 16 are free when accompanied by an adult but usual castle admission charges will apply.

To mark Fathers’ Day, Berkeley Castle is offering dads a special deal all day long.

Dads will go free with a full paying child and they also eat free in the Yurt Cafe with a full paying child.
