A SANDWICH shop has opened its second shop in Yate.
Due to increasing demand, Subway has taken a second unit at Yate Shopping Centre.
The new store, on East Walk, unit will act as a further serving location to the existing store in West Walk which has proved highly popular since opening in 2010.
Andrew Lowrey, shopping centre manager, said: “It says a lot about the popularity of Subway when it has to take a second store in the centre to satisfy demand for its popular combination of great tasting and healthy food ranges.”
In a statement, Subway said: “Since opening in 2010 our store on West Walk has proved popular. However shoppers and workers have commented on the distance between the Tesco on East Walk and the store on West Walk.
“So, to appeal to those who shop on East Walk we have opened a further store. The store on East Walk should prove easily accessible for those shopping at this end of the shopping centre.”
