OVER 200 fish have been killed in a polluted river in Cam.

River Cam, which runs through Cambridge, Cam and on into Dursley, is now under investigation by the Environment Agency after the fish remains were discovered, including trout and bullheads.

Environment Agency manager Dave Throup tweeted pictures and a description of his team's discovery, saying a legal investigation had started.

He added that the dead fish have been collected, counted and measured to assess the overall impact on the ecosystem.
