WORK that had been due to take place this weekend on the Second Severn Crossing has been postponed due to predicted bad weather.
Two lanes of the westbound carriageway had been scheduled for closure from tonight until Sunday morning to allow essential waterproofing and resurfacing to be carried out.
But with rain forecast, it has been decided to delay the work for a week, with the lane closures now coming into effect at 10pm on Friday, July 4, and lasting until 10am on Sunday, July 6. One lane will remain open while the work is carried out.
