POSITIVE caring programmes providing free information and support sessions for carers are coming to Cam and Nailsworth.

The programme includes six weekly sessions focussing on different aspects of the caring role such as how to access services and support, the day-to-day practicalities of caring, how to look after yourself and juggling caring with other responsibilities.

The course in Cam starts on Thursday, July 3 and will take place each Thursday until August 7, at the GL11 Project in Fairmead, GL11 5JS from 2pm until 4.30pm.

Sessions in Nailsworth will start the following month on Tuesday, August 5 and run each Tuesday until September 9. The course will be held at Arkell Community Centre on Nympsfield Road, GL6 0ET, between 10.30am and 1pm.

All sessions are free and help is available with transport and alternative care is available if necessary.
