DURSLEY’s residents are being asked to audit their streets’ problems to ensure future planning guidelines for the area are thorough enough.

The town’s neighbourhood plan, which will give added weight at the negotiation table when developments are proposed, is at the consultation phase.

As part of that, the Dursley Town Council (DTC) needs to know where problem areas are and is looking for volunteers to do audits of their streets, which will include filling out a form after counting potholes, where raised kerbs are that should not be, ill-positioned bus stops and other details.

DTC clerk Helen Bojaniwska said: “I know a lot of people that complain about problems on their streets and this is their chance to collect that information.”

A volunteer evening is taking place on Wednesday, July 16 at Dursley Methodist Church.
