A RANGE of bands are to perform at a charity event in Chipping Sodbury to raise money for children’s hospices.

Royal Oak Charity Kollective (ROCK) will host the event at The Royal Oak pub, in Chipping Sodbury, to raise funds for Children’s Hospital South West.

Bands give their time for free at the event and volunteers assist in building the stage and handle the event’s organisation.

Bands appearing this time include Limelight, Short Change, Liqueur and Poker, the Dylegans and Kok Rok.

A cheque presentation will be made, handing over the £1,000 raised at last year’s event to a representative from Children’s Hospice South West.

The event will be held on September 14, beginning at 3pm at The Pub and drawing to a close at about midnight.

To date, ROCK have raised over £5,000 for Children’s Hospice South West.
